Sun announced his resignation as Grenada’s ambassador to the World Trade Organization, a position he had held since 2021.
The service of Tron Founder Justin Sun as Grenada’s Ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO) ended on March 31.
Sun’s diplomatic status was revoked shortly after the SEC accused the Tron CEO of fraud and market manipulation.
While Sun is only now declaring the end of his time as Grenada’s ambassador to the World Trade Organization, the Grenada Television Network stated that his position will end after the country’s June 2022 general elections, which will see the New National Party expelled. The Tron CEO was appointed to the position in December 2021.
The current event follows the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing a complaint against Sun, accusing him of unregistered sale of TRX and BTT tokens, which the regulator characterised as securities and market manipulation.
